Exact research on the theory of the blackbody thermal radiation
After studying the normalized Planck equation in depth, a brand-new type of spectrum curves of blackbody thermal radiation is given. Two important parameters of the new type curves, namely relative width RWη and symmetric factor RSFη, are defined. The paper points out that the experimental verification of the parameters has three significant applications: (1) Giving a method to measure temperat...
متن کاملBroadband infrared vibrational nano-spectroscopy using thermal blackbody radiation.
Infrared vibrational nano-spectroscopy based on scattering scanning near-field optical microscopy (s-SNOM) provides intrinsic chemical specificity with nanometer spatial resolution. Here we use incoherent infrared radiation from a 1400 K thermal blackbody emitter for broadband infrared (IR) nano-spectroscopy. With optimized interferometric heterodyne signal amplification we achieve few-monolaye...
متن کاملComputational Blackbody Radiation
Maxwell’s equations represent a culmination of classical mathematical physics by offering a compact mathematical formulation of all of electromagnetics including the propagation of light and radiation, as electromagnetic waves. But like in a Greek tragedy, the success of Maxwell’s equations prepared for the collapse of classical mathematical physics and the rise of modern physics based on a con...
متن کاملAttractive optical forces from blackbody radiation.
Blackbody radiation around hot objects induces ac Stark shifts of the energy levels of nearby atoms and molecules. These shifts are roughly proportional to the fourth power of the temperature and induce a force decaying with the third power of the distance from the object. We explicitly calculate the resulting attractive blackbody optical dipole force for ground state hydrogen atoms. Surprising...
متن کاملMacroscopic thermal entanglement due to radiation pressure.
Can entanglement and the quantum behavior in physical systems survive at arbitrary high temperatures? In this Letter we show that this is the case for a electromagnetic field mode in an optical cavity with a movable mirror in a thermal state. We also identify two different dynamical regimes of generation of entanglement separated by a critical coupling strength.
